Farmville, Va. --- Roanoke dropped a 9-0 decision at Hampden-Sydney this afternoon in ODAC action. The Maroons dropped to 5-6 overall, 5-2 in the ODAC while the Tigers improved to 8-4, 6-1 in the conference.
Sam Sherrill took Will Moss to three sets, falling, 4-6, 6-7, 5-7 in #1 singles to the top player in the conference. Sam Jordan fell in #3 singles to Shad Harrell, 6-3, 6-2 and Pete DeWitt fell in #4 singles, 6-0, 6-4.
The duo of Moss and Rich Pugh defeated Jordan and DeWitt, 8-2 in #1 doubles. Harrell and Kevin Clahoun defeated Sherrill and Minot Amory, 8-6 in a tight #2 doubles match.
The men will host Guilford (4/15) and Bridgewater (4/17) in the final week of the regular season. Game times are both scheduled for 3 p.m.
